Aubrey & Peyton
The Florida girls and Louisiana boys
Please take one. OR TWO!!We just got back from PARADISE! We had an awesome vacation in a 5 bedroom, 3 story beach house in St. George Island, Florida. We went with Robin, Dakota, Matt, Meredith, Andrew, Peyton, and Andrew's family, Ryan, Kellie, Aubrey, Lacy, Jean, and David. We were a houseful of misfits playing poker almost every night after all the kiddos went to sleep (no bets, of course) and just relaxing and going with the flow every day. We had the beach, pool, or boat for entertainment. We cooked at the house, saving time and money. We could see dolphins playing in the ocean from our kitchen's balcony. The guys went fishing one day and Meredith grilled the catch for dinner. Now we're back to the grind in BR with great memories to cherish.

Our Day Today
I just had to brag about Ian real quick. When he gets tired he doesn't want me to hold him. He wants me to put him in his bassinet so he can suck his thumb and soothe himself to sleep. How low maintenance is that? It makes me sad though because I like to snuggle with him. The good thing is that this frees some time for me to hang out with Ayden. I'm teaching him how to use the mouse on our computer right now. Time for "Ay's school"! See ya later.

Ian is 3 months old today!!
Chunky monkey!
Ayden loves reading "Jane's Animal Expedition"
Today, at 33 months of age, was the first day he actually smiled for the camera!!!
I just now realized that Ayden and Ian are precisely 30 months apart, to the day. They were both born on a Thursday at exactly 38 weeks gestation. So, if you count in years, they are exactly 2 1/2 years apart give or take a couple of hours.

Save the dragonfly, save the world!
We recently set up Ayden's pool in our backyard and this poor dragonfly was about to drown in it. He (the dragonfly)was hanging on to this ball for dear life even when I grabbed his wings to get him out of the water. I then took the ball out with him and put it in the back of Ayden's car so his wings could dry out. It took about 30 minutes and he flew away happy. This is the coolest picture I've ever taken and it has a great rescue story to go along with it!
