My Baby's Birthday!!

On this day 29 years ago, a wonderful SPIRIT entered the mortal realm. Thank goodness that she came to find me. On this day my sweet, I just wanted to wish you the most fantabulous Birthday ever. You truly are the SUN in my UNIVERSE. How lucky am I to be a part of your world. You're a rockin' sweet and HOT wife, and a sensitive and caring MOTHER. What more could a guy wish for??!! Ayden Hears a Who

Today is a gorgeous day, so we went out,
Ian in his stroller and Ayden in his "truck bike motorcycle" as he calls it.
We were near the dead end when we found a speck just like Horton!!

Happy Un-Birthday

This is me taking a picture of myself so y'all can see how short my hair is now.
I'm turning 29 on the 30th, so Josh put together a party for me last night.
We had a lot of fun! Only two pictures were taken though, sorry.
I wanted to chill and enjoy myself, not run around with the camera.

Josh made this cake by himself, and it was so delicious!!!

I put this hat on Ian the other day, and had to get a picture of his chub profile!
I could barely velcro the straps together.

Let the Stains Begin!

Okay, it's been a long, drawn out saga in our master bathroom,
but the end is near. I'm currently staining the shower walls.
It looks better in person. This looks really blotchy,
but it's the flash on the camera that made it that way.

I've been wearing these pants throughout the whole process. I'll trash them when I'm done.
The white is concrete. I never got any pictures of that step, so my pants are the only proof.
After the stain, I'll put a sealer on it, then we'll be able to put the faucets on!!

We had Ainsly and Dawson over this morning, and had a lot of fun playing outside. They looked so cute playing with the firetruck, I had to run for the camera. Poor Ian tried so hard to keep up with the big kids.

Feelin' Like A Rockstar!

Last night we went over to see Gerald and Paige's new house, which is beautiful, and we had some unexpected rockin' out with their new rockband video game.
I had a little too much fun playing. We took turns either being the lead singer, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, or drummer. I was totally lame at playing the instruments, but had a blast being the lead singer (surprised?). It made me realize that I'm pretty rusty. My voice needs some work. I need to sing around the house more. Paige was the most rockin' of us all. I think I might invite myself over to practice on those drums and guitars. You won't mind, will you, Paiger?

What Am I Doing?

This morning I decided to step on the scale. I thought it would be best to do it before I got dressed and ate breakfast, so it would be the smallest number possible. Lo and behold, I was 3 pounds less than last week!!!!!! How did I celebrate? I am currently eating Banana Twins. There's something wrong with this picture. Seriously.

Ayden's Interpretation Of Little Miss Muffet And More

Translation: Why did the spider frighten Miss Muffet away? Because he was trying to play too loud. He said, "HEY MISS MUFFET, DO YOU WANT TO PLAY?" And she said, "AHHH!" I think you can understand the rest.

Ayden likes hanging out under the table.
He talks non-stop, all day, and randomly breaks out in songs and rhymes.
He has also started the "why" phase, which I was hoping he would skip over.
Our house rule: only one why gets an answer.
Another new development: He rides his bike FAST!! He finally mastered pedaling a couple of weeks ago, and now he is a speedster. Scraped knees and elbows, here we come! I'll get that on film soon.

Ayden said this was Idaho, so I had to get a picture of it.

This is how Ian spends most of his day.
He started pulling himself to standing a couple of days ago,
so now we don't have to assist him anymore.

A card for Uncle David. I asked Ayden what he thought of when he thought about Uncle David and his house. He said, "Jamie and Ricky!" (his parrots)
so I had him paint a picture of them for Uncle David.

By the way, his surgery went pretty well. Now it's time for the hard part, rehab.

Uncle David

My Uncle David is currently in surgery, and should be finished at noon. He is having heart surgery, a CABG 5 to be exact. If you haven't heard from me, this is why. He had a heart attack and was admitted into the hospital on Friday, so I've been driving back and forth to see him. Please keep my family in your prayers. We're hoping to see a new David when that blood starts flowing more freely for him.
