They finally made it here!
Lovin' on the chunkster.

My mom and dad have had quite an adventure this summer. First, they flew to see Travis & Co. in Tennessee, then drove to Atlanta to visit Maw-maw (Dad's mom) then finally they made it here the night before Ayden's B-Day party and will be here until the end of the month. This is dad's first time to meet his clone, Ian. We are having fun spending time with them and will hate to see them go.

Happy Third Birthday, Ayden!

Scarfing down some grub after playing in the heat and the sprinkler.
Ayden enjoying "Happy Birthday" being sung to him. Tristan, Dakota, & Josh cooling off.
Brooklyn & Ayden waiting for the party to start.

The great Heffalump search. They found Lumpy's footprint.
Ayden's tent bed while Granny and Paw-paw use his big boy bed.
Kim made some delicious cookie cakes for us and Mark delivered them all in one piece.
THANK YOU!

Our baby Ayden is growing up. He is already 3 years old. He helped with all of the planning and shopping for his party, and was so excited when it was finally time to celebrate! Yesterday he woke up and walked in the kitchen asking, "Where's my party?" We had a great time with all of our friends and family. Ayden loves all of his buddies. We feel so lucky to have such an annimated, compassionate, sneaky, curious, handsome, cool kid as our own. We love you, Ay!

Last Night

Okay, every parent knows that you're toddler will think of every delay possible to avoid the dreaded BEDTIME. Here's the story. Last night Ayden had his bath, brushed his teeth, had a prayer, and 2 books read to him. He knew the time was approaching, so he hopped up to his bookshelf, said "one more book" and scanned the shelf, taking out the thickest book he could find. Josh and I were laughing out of control at our clever little man.

Ian's New Discovery

Ian found his feet and can't get enough of them.
Not only has he discovered that he can hold his feet,
he figured out that he can eat them too.

On Our Way Home

Visual confirmation of my sister, Chani, and Bro-in-law, Billy.
Aunt Chani with her nephews.
Ian's first sprinkler encounter.
Ayden getting spritzed.

We strategically planned our weekend because Josh had to work in Covington on Monday. We packed up everything from Gulport, and headed to Madisonville to visit Aunt Chani and Uncle Billy. We had a great time with them, and hope to be able to visit them again soon.

Happy Birthday, Ben!

This is Ben.
This is Ben sharing his Sponge Bob fishing pole with Ayden. Quite a sacrifice.
None of these boys are named Ben.

We left Friday for Gulf Port, MS: Home of the Hutchinson's (Jason & Co.) We slept over at Nana & Poppy's cottage/beach house and spent the waking hours with family. Ben's B-day was Friday, and we celebrated by going fishing off of the Gulfport pier. Ian fussed the whole time, but Ayden had fun following Ben around. He was scared of the shrimp they used for bait and even more of a big crab they caught in one of the nets, which I thought was pretty creepy too. Saturday was Ben's official party at a big pool with "sharks" as the theme. He turned 6 years old. I can't believe it. I remember when Mandi was pregnant with him and Josh and I were still newlyweds. Time sneaks by too quickly. I could go on and on about our adventures in Mississip, but I'll spare you. Just know that we ran ourselves into the ground with an action packed few days. We love you Hutch's, and we hope too see you soon! Ayden's Birthday?
