O'Boises are O'Boisterous!

This picture is out of order, but I'm not going to start all over with this blog. Read on, and pretend this picture is by the gate picture of Ayden.
I was waiting for mom to finish with her doctor's appointment in Boise (she got her staples taken out!) and decided to drive toward the mountains. Surely there would be some sort of park at the base of the mountains for the boys to get out and play. Lo and behold, we found this beautiful spot! It's an old penitentiary surrounded by botanical gardens. What a great prize for exercising a little spontaneity.
Bamboo in Idaho?
This place has GOT to be breaking the water conservation rules.
Another failed attempt at getting a picture with the boys.
Mr. Climber. He has to get to the highest point possible, just like his mommy.

A super cool gate we found.
I don't know what this tower was used for, but it looks serious. Maybe it was used to snipe out escape convicts! Oh, and that red Mustang is mom's. I've been having fun driving it.
Cool building. It had a plaque that read "1907".
Warning: Guard dogs on duty!
Dad found this frame for mom for like a buck. Ayden has started liking to pose for pictures.

In Granny and Paw-paw's Idaho...

Granny's lookin' good!
This was on our flight from Denver to Idaho Falls. Ian was more active this time than when we flew in February. He kept throwing things. Luckily I had two nice men close by who had grandkids of their own, so they kept retrieving markers, sippy cups, books, etc... for me.

This flight was the better of the two, except that we were right in front of the bathroom and some guy made a stinky for us. I draped a blanket over the tray and seat which served as a fun hiding spot for Ayden. Ian always rubs his hands in his hair when he eats. I didn't see this for a while after already wiping his hands and face clean. We were laughing so hard!
Ayden had fun climbing the "mountain" with his Aunt Chani.
I had to get a picture of Ian's new tooth. No more vampire, but we get to enjoy the snaggleteeth for a few more days!
The other front tooth will cut through any day now.

WE MISS YOU, DADDY :(

Cinco De Mayo

the hosts
Ian is either dancing or trying to escape
Viva la Mejico!
Boys will be boys
Hey, Lexi, here's what we ate

This is what they both do when they are told to smile
We played this crazy game where you get shocked
(and it hurts) if you push your button last
I'm too sexy for my shirt...
I'm proud to announce that I decapitated that donkey
See?!
Ian's really close to walking.
Ayden walked at 15 months, so I think he'll do the same.

Robin and Brent threw an amazing party on Monday. We had a lot of fun!!! It was meant for the singles Ward, but we crashed it. We're family, so it's okay. Besides, Kota needed a buddy, right?

I'm Cheating Off Of My Friends!

I haven't felt up to posting much lately, so click here, here, and here for an idea of a few of the many things we've been doing over the past week. Love to you all!

On a Lighter Note

Somebody can't wait to see his Granny again!

We're Leaving On a Jet Plane... Part Two.

So, my mom doesn't have cancer in any major organs, but it did spread to her lymph nodes. She'll have to go through some chemotherapy. Josh helped me decide today that I just need to get over there now, and stop worrying from so far away. Well, here I go again with Ayden & Ian to the wild frontier. Ayden is really excited to ride "two airplanes" again. He already requested to watch "Flushed Away" on the airplane. We're leaving Tuesday, May 13th and we'll be back Monday, June 2nd. That gives me time to see Chani when we get there and Travis with his two youngins just before we head back. I feel relieved now, so I know that's what needed to happen. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and fasts. This cancer will be wiped out, we know it.

The Waiting Game

My mom had a successful surgery. They found a 7 cm tumor in her intestine. About 12 inches of her intestine were cut out. Verdict: Colon cancer. The tumor was removed, but we're still waiting to find out if the cancer spread anywhere else. The surgery was Wednesday, and the Doctor said he'll talk to them today, so TALK ALREADY!!! I've been trying to keep my mind off of all of this, but COME ON! Mom has a colostomy bag, which she'll have for 3 months at the least. If you don't know what that is, I'll spare you the details. Thank you for your concern and prayers. We're just waiting and jumping every time the phone rings.

My Mom

Please keep my mom in your prayers. She is in the hospital waiting for surgery on her large intestine. We don't know what it is exactly, but she has blockage. They have to perform surgery to determine what is the cause.
