On April 12th I took Ayden and Ian to the zoo. Ayden had a blast with his friends, especially Emma. They were all over the place. Ian slept through most of the trip, of course.

He asked for Mac and cheese just before he passed out from a LONG Easter weekend.

We had a fun filled Easter Holiday. Josh had a 3 day weekend, so we packed it full of family and friends! We spent Good Friday at Mark, Kim & Brooklyn's house. We had a BBQ and sat out in the sun. Jeni, Aaron & Gerald also came. Ayden and Brooklyn played their little hearts out. At one point they locked themselves in the bathroom and Brooklyn stripped naked. Mark had to give Ayden a talk and show him his guns. Saturday we drove to Nana & Poppy's in Mississippi and pigged out again, this time on boiled crawfish and fried shrimp & oysters. Yummy! We colored and hunted for eggs with the kiddies, Dakota, Ayden, Laney & Ben. Ayden doesn't understand the idea of Easter egg hunts. He's content with finding one egg and opening it up for the candy. I have to drag him around to get more eggs. Ayden found 9 and the rest of the kids tied at 11, so Robin had the idea to let Ayden be the winner for being different. Easter Sunday we dressed Ay & E in their matching Easter outfits and went to church, then we had our friends, Aaron, Jeni, Paige & Gerald along with Robin & Mimi over for a third and final glutinous lunch. Everyone cooked a little something which turned into a lot of something which turned into a painful digestion for us all. We had a good time visiting around the table and spent some time hanging outside. We exhausted ourselves with a great, memory filled weekend.

Stacy's Bath Time Revelation

As I was relaxing in the tub, I was reading the labels on all of our bath products. I always read mine, but this time I read Josh's shower gel label as well. I laughed to myself when I realized that men and women are so different in so many ways.

Dixie Trix

Dixie flew in from Portland to meet little E and to get her fill of CRAWFISH! She taught Ayden to call them "bugs" so he now says "I eat BUG" with a thick drawl and he knows it'll get a laugh.We had a blast with our Dixie. She was a big help and we can't wait to see her again! Maybe next time she comes, Nikki will come too.
