Out With the Old And In With the New!

Click here to look at our new ride! (We got it in Slate Metallic.) We're loving it! I did some research with my parents while I was in Idaho, and narrowed my choices down to the Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Highlander or Toyota Sienna. The Sienna won first place! I was NOT too thrilled about minivans until we drove this thing. It's AWESOME!!!! We just bought it yesterday and it only had 2 miles on it! We were planning on buying something in the near future, but our 1995 Ford Contour kept breaking down on Josh, which turned the future into PRONTO. When we traded it in, our dealer joked with us that we should be paying them to take it off of our hands. We got a whopping $500 for it! We're having fun cruising around with the boys (Ian is also facing forward in his car seat now). I'll take some pictures when I get a minute.

Gotta love a new car. What made you pick this particular one?

I researched every vehicle that seats 7 to 8 people and finally decided on this one. The Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna are the best rated minivans you can buy. The main thing I wanted was side impact airbags, and the Sienna offered them at no additional charge. GMC charged a few hundred more to add them. We went to the Toyota dealership for our first test drive and never made it to the Honda dealership because we loved the Sienna so much.

Congratulations...we too just purchased a new vehicle. Ours was not quite as new as yours, but we love toyotas and think you made a great choice. Go Go mormon mini-van!!

Exciting!!!! We are on the hunt for a bigger fam car now too! Toyotas are one of the best cars I hear. Do you really like the mini-van over an SUV? That is something I struggle with, I don't want to drive a van. But who knows what I'll end up with.

SA-WEET! Toyotas are awesome. Ours is 17 years old and still pumpin' it. Great cars..and vans!

Ha ha! You're a minivan mom! Must be nice having a husband that has a job:)

How exciting! A new car! I'm still trying to convince David that when we buy a car it needs to be a van - maybe y'all taking the plunge will help convince him!
