This is how Ian spends most of his day.He started pulling himself to standing a couple of days ago,
so now we don't have to assist him anymore.
A card for Uncle David. I asked Ayden what he thought of when he thought about Uncle David and his house. He said, "Jamie and Ricky!" (his parrots)so I had him paint a picture of them for Uncle David.
By the way, his surgery went pretty well. Now it's time for the hard part, rehab.

Wow, Ayden is quite the geography buff already, impressive. Not to mention he has some pretty awesome painting skills. Ian looks like he's coming along nicely with his skills in mobility. It looks like y'all are doing a fine job with those boys!
The top green part of the painting does almost look like a bird with a raised wing! How fun that Ayden remembered Uncle David's parrots- that's sure to give him something to smile about. What is rehabilitation like after heart surgery? Is it bed rest? I hope he's feeling better soon!
that's great that ayden knows what idaho looks like. brennan can find about 10 states, but that is on a map...i don't think he could identify just the shape...smart boy.

Lexi, click the link on my last post and you can read about the rehab. It doesn't seem to be that bad. Dixie, Ayden coaches Ian through everything. Ayden will scoot around backwards to get Ian to follow him, etc...Jamie, thanks for the compliment. We're all trying our best, aren't we? Mom and Jessica, I figured out that Ayden was talking about the white on the paper, which looks like snow. The shape was a crazy coincidence.
ayden, idaho is a boot, just like louisiana! 'cept it's got more toe room and less leg room. and those birds are spectacular! i clicked on the coffee table pic and looked at it close up...there's drool streaming down little ian's chin! how CUTE!! i can't wait to see y'all again!
