Lunch at BJs Restaurant with my family 86 Ayden b/c he was at school.
Ian looking through his "nah-Q-wuhs"
After the kids were in bed, Josh's mom came over to babysit while we went on a double date with Robin & Brent. We went to a coffee shop that has improv every Friday night. We laughed so much, our faces hurt! It was a great birthday! BTW: Josh got me a GPS and Ayden thinks it's his new toy. We've been using it to go around town to places we already know how to get to just for kicks. I selected the "Australian male" voice to direct us.
Ayden and his class perform to "the Rainbow Fish".
The kids were so cute. They danced around like swimming fish and made fish faces while interpreting the story. If you look really close to the picture above you will see Ian and Dakota at the top of the hill.
(This is the old state capitol building-the kids performed at the bottom of the hill.)
This is a post-show pic of Ayden with his two biggest fans!
You have to magnify it and read all of the crazy meats they served. We chose a safe menu of crawfish and shrimp po-boys and seafood jambalaya. The ladies in the picture got soft shell crab po-boys and they looked DELICIOUS. Gotta love this state! No other place can replicate our food and culture. I'm so depressed about the big oil spill that's about to ruin our marshes. I could get political here, but that's for another day. For now I will just share that I loved our weekend and had a great time. I especially loved the birthday cake that Josh made for me that we all consumed within 24 hours!! He spoils me. He's a keeper. After all of that BAD but GOOD eating, I'm having a hard time getting back into my usual diet. Must....fit....into....my....swimming suit!

I have no doubt that you will look fab in your suit! Did you see an Indian guy named Brian at the improv place? One of Brad's groomsmen does improv at Brew-ha-ha as a hobby, but we've never made it out to see him.
I know we already talked, but so other people know-it's 2008 Perkins Road, every Friday night at 9pm, they keep the jokes clean and yes, Brian was a part of the group with another guy we know too. It's a small world after all!
Hutch's shirt is lightning!!
Now Y'all know how to do a birthday party! for days, love the pic of 3 boys and the one of you and Josh great lookin' couple! The post office lady asked about the spill in the gulf, we were sending Afton's pkg off, hope it gets there in time, we are in a gray zone, middle of nowhere. 86 means absent or not here??? I don't understand, you are communicating with the babyboom generation here.
still laughing at the crazy meats that place served! WHAT?? hahaha! but i'd kill for a soft shell crab po'boy--r u kidding me??? MAN!!!! stinks to live in UT for that VERY reason. NO good food. :(
by the way, since you have 3 kids, I was wondering if you could recommend a double stroller for me. my boys are 2.5 yrs apart. so basically my toddler is 2.5 and my baby is 4 weeks old. I am kind of leaning toward a Joovy Ultralight sit N stand--but sometimes I think I might want a full double with two full seats w/ canopies...HELP! I am super picky about baby gear!!! if I could afford it, I'd probably buy one of those BOB Duallie strollers...
oh and happy birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday!
And, um, I so miss LA food, I would even try that squirrel just to be eating something yummy.
Mom, 86 is restaurant shorthand for "no" like "CB 86 P" would mean cheeseburger no pickles.
Amiee, I have the Graco duo glider. My main concern was having the seats front to back and not side to side so I could maneuver easier through narrow spaces in the mall. A friend of mine has the sit and stand and it's even more compact AND two small kids can fit on the back seat (three total). I think hers is Baby Trend. I like that mine has cup/snack holders galore for me and the kids and the back seat reclines all the way down and you can still access the basket underneath without disturbing your baby. I sometimes put both of the boys in the backseat with it reclined, but that's probably not recommended!
I miss La food. Happy birthday.
Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day! You guys look great- I just love that picture of you and Josh!
Damn y'all look good. I like your hair that color, looks like you lightened it up for spring. That's a SUPER-CUTE picture of the boy's, I want a poster size of that one.
Josh should do improv night!!! All for Josh doing improv please register your votes on this blog.
Happy birthday seeester. I'm drooling over that soft shell crab po-boy. Heaven in a bun! Markus can't wait to visit Louisiana again, just for the food! He couldn't taste anything the last time we were there because of that lame-o cold!
I also vote for Josh doing improv.
