Some Privacy, PLEASE!

What's going on in there?
Oh, just a little man sitting on his throne.
Yes, we have begun extensive potty training. My mom gave me some passive aggressive advice, and I took it! Thanks mom, for not saying what you really thought: "Why isn't that three year old out of diapers? Back in my day we had our kids potty trained before they turned two!" The reality is that kids train later nowadays. However, I have been lax in motivation to begin helping Ayden use the toilet. It took the rude awakening that his peers are all in underwear, and my mother saying, "Aren't you tired of changing those nasty BIG poops that could just simply be flushed down the toilet?"I think I just don't want my baby to grow up. Every milestone of Ayden's has been bitter-sweet for me. I had a hard time when he started table food and now this. He has been doing great. He feels the pee coming and runs to the toilet. We just added his spiderman tent to the mix for privacy, and he loves it! His toilet is in the living room right now for convenience, and we'll move it to the bathroom when he improves a little more. I'll keep you "posted".

Hee hee- I'm thinking that jingle 'I'm a big kid now!'. Glad to hear he's doing great. Just think how relieved you'll be when you only have to change E's diapers when you're out and about now. Whew!

Loved it when we came to the house the other day and Ay was running around with just a t-shirt and socks. Just running free and playing on his potty!

brennan was three and a half before i was confident to call him 'potty trained'...and as for nighttimes...well, let's just say that he started preschool last monday and he had been diaperfree at night time since that weekend...that would be laziness on my part and brennan crying, "but mommy, i will get my blanket all wet."
i totally understand the bittersweet milestones.
anyways, good luck and YEAH! ayden.
oh, and it is SO NICE to see the BIG POOPS go bye-bye down the potty and not into the trash.

Horay for you! Our potty training is on the back burner for now. Kaiden doesn't even want to sit on it. I did take your idea and move the potty to the living room today and he pee'ed just a little. Good luck with Ayden. That brainwashing books must have helped!
