My mom had a successful surgery. They found a 7 cm tumor in her intestine. About 12 inches of her intestine were cut out. Verdict: Colon cancer. The tumor was removed, but we're still waiting to find out if the cancer spread anywhere else. The surgery was Wednesday, and the Doctor said he'll talk to them today, so TALK ALREADY!!! I've been trying to keep my mind off of all of this, but COME ON! Mom has a colostomy bag, which she'll have for 3 months at the least. If you don't know what that is, I'll spare you the details. Thank you for your concern and prayers. We're just waiting and jumping every time the phone rings.

The waiting game is the worst game ever!!!! Nobody likes to play it....but hopefully it will mean good news in the end. It's crazy how quickly life can change...healthy one day and not the next. Our prayers are with your family. We Love you guys.
for me, waiting is worse than just knowing the good and the bad. hope you have heard by now.
I hope by now the doctors have told you the whole story and that things are looking great.

I have felt your prayers and have been at peace. My life had a crappy bump in the road but I believe things are smoooothing out. Sometimes unexpected things happen, and you just have to stop and SMELL the roses. Pun intended. Dictated by CLW.
