Thanks, Granny & Paw-paw!

This was our surprise gift in the box. I LOVE IT!! I will never get around to making my own busy book. I tried to get this while we were in Idaho, but the store ran out. It's a hot item for mormon families. Thanks, for thinking of me! Sacrament meeting is CRAZY for us with daddy sitting on the stand (he's in the bishopric for those of you who might not know). Aunt Robin and Uncle Brent help out, but it's always nuts when Kota and Ayden join forces. Hopefully this will keep the boys chill for at least 10 minutes. Mom wrote a note with it saying that it is most effective when only used on Sunday. I'll keep it in the van, mom. We didn't get to test it out yesterday, because both of the boys had a nasty virus. Fluids were extracting from all ends. They're better now and eating normal food again.

Hahaha! We used to laugh at the baham kids when they were loud. The secret to quiet kids is to beat the hell out of them before sacrament meeting. Then they know whats coming if they get the look.

Ooooh, so that's what you're supposed to do, Travis. So, this busy book is just a waste of time then. Ha ha ha!
I also remember throwing paper airplanes w/ y'all during sacrament meeting.
We should have been beaten more often.

A firm pinchy grip is a quiet punishment while you're on the church bench. Learned that from Susan Singer. You kids were pretty darn good, its the genes I guess. I did make a quiet book out of those photo albums where the plastic sheets fold over the photos sitting on the sticky page, you know the craze of the 80's. Anyway the pictures were from old Friends and Ensign magazines about sacrament/reverent stuff. I had you look at it during the passing of sacrament. Worked real well until one of you kids discovered that if you slide your hands down the plastic page and it would squeak real loud! I think the discoverer was my son! And of course the girls thought that was neat/funny and they had to try too. I grabbed that book and cramed it in the diaper bag. So much for that idea!!! I had dreams of selling my proto type to Deseret Book Company, another genius idea didn't pass the Holloway-Children-Test.

if i pinch brennan, he says really loudly "why'd you pinch me mommy?" the people in the row in front of us laugh at this...they sure don't help when they do that.
we no longer bring toys to church, only books, colors, and occasionally a puzzle...but be careful with the colors. once i let brennan lay under the pew (he was being quiet, bart was out, what was i to do?) for most of church...with crayons.
needless to say, there is a very lovely pew bottom at the fort st. building now. :-)
wish my mom would make one of those. i have no clue what we will do with three kids! (if bart is sick, one is definitely staying home with him anyways.)

i don't go to church, so my kid can scream all day long on sunday if he would like to do so. i'll probably lock him outside tho.

That picture of Ian on the side of your blog is HILARIOUS! I love the comb over!! He looks so much like his G-pa it's insane!
Also, I remember when Jouet got LaPriel tagged on to her name. When did the Paltrow come about? ha ha!
Miss y'all!

Josh said it one day, because Jewith sounded like Gwyneth and it stuck.
