The Baby's Size

Two weeks ago: the size of a poppy seed.

One week ago: a sesame seed

Today: a lentil bean

I get weekly updates from babycenter.com on the growth of our little embryo. This is the size comparisons they used. It's so fascinating to me that all kinds of technical things are going on in such a tiny amount of space. There are dark spots where the eyes and nostrils will be, little impressions where the ears will form, and tiny webbed hands and feet have already formed. The baby's brain is ticking and her heart is beating twice as fast as mine! Maybe this is why I am so tired and hungry and nautious all day. Those little cells are dividing like crazy.

That is so crazy to think that that lentil bean will develop talents and intelligence! Perhaps Nunchuck-skills even! I am so happy for yall. Yet I have to admit, all of your comparisons were to food, and now I'm hungry.
