My Doctor Visit Today

I asked my doctor if my Gestational Diabetes will change anything as far as inducing early. He said that since it's under control with my diet, that it's not necessary to deliver any earlier than 39 weeks. So, my tentative due date is now May 19th instead of the 24th. This was the same plan with Ian-going one week early-but he came on his own at 38 weeks. We'll see how it goes this time...I'm just happy to know that we at least knocked off 5 days! Of course, that is as long as my body is preparing itself as it should, which I know it is. From here on out my visits will include the lovely pelvic exams.
Quick funny story: When I was near the end of my pregnancy with Ian, the hospital windows were being cleaned during my appointment. Of course the guys were at MY WINDOW when the doctor was ready for my exam. The blinds were closed, but just to be on the safe side, I asked him to wait a minute until they moved to another window. Sorry, no peep shows from me, guys! Try another window.

Maybe she'll pop out on Mama's birthday:) Funny little story. Why does that office have windows anyway?

My Dr.'s office at East Jefferson in New Orleans didn't have windows, but the one in Rockwall here does!

They are still working on the hospital {it is brand new} so I always worry that the construction workers are going to get too close. Thankfully, they are across the street so they have no reason to be near any of the windows of the office.

I agree with Dixie though; why DO they even have windows?! And the office I go to have these frilly curtains that don't even cover the whole window- it's just kind of a window swag.

Good luck! You are in the home stretch! I can't wait to see pictures of little Afton.

It was night at Seventh Ward hospital, second floor NO window cover at all, all I could see was the black night, didn't really care at that point, #5 almost 10lb. breach, natural delivery, keep the guns away from me please, for Charlie's sake, I get very angry under extreme stress!!!! Lexi says home stretch hahahahahaha
Nice background, Stacy!

The Brooke bedding was my favorite bedding out of all of the ones available at PBK- I love those owls! But Troy was not crazy about it at all, so I had to pass on it. :-( {Don't tell him, but I was pretty bummed. At least I know someone gets to enjoy the cuteness!}

Have you noticed that PBK's baby bedding has been sparse lately though? Troy thinks it is because they are saving/hoarding all of the cute stuff until the recession is close to over since they would lose money on their really cute things.

All I know is a little over two years ago, there was so much girl bedding I wanted I thought I'd die, and now there's only the Brooke bedding that I would consider really cute!

I'll have to come and visit little Afton's nursery some time with it all fixed up- I know you'll make it super cute with all of those butterflies and birds!

Check this out when you get a chance:

It would look super cute with your owl/bird/tree theme. And you can pick whichever color you want it to be!

Have you started decorating her room yet?
