A long time ago...

When I was in high school, I used to whine to my mom about how no stores carried jeans in a size zero. One of these times we were in Dillards at the Hammond Square Mall. I remember it like it was yesterday. After listening to my complaints, Mom replied, "One day you'll wish you had that problem." Well mom, you were right. Through the years I have been every size up to a 16. I am proud to announce that after all of this time and after stretching my body out three times with pregnancy, my body has made a trip back in time. I'm not trying to boast here. I'm just really excited and proud of myself. What have I been doing? Just sticking to the diabetic diet I was given when pregnant with Afton. That gestational diabetes turned out to be a great blessing for me, like so many of you told me it would when I was discouraged. So, my New Year resolution will be to keep up with what I'm already doing, so I don't have to take out the big girl pants again!

Wow! Good for you!

When you have time, would you write out your diet? I think I'm going to make a goal to focus on getting healthier this year.

What's that like. No New Year's resolution? Thanks, I'll steal that idea for myself. That's my 2010 resolution to not have a resolution for 2011.

Hey! Thanks for all your cute comments on my blog! I think having another boy was God's way of saying "Amiee, you are having 3 children whether you like it or not" bc he KNEW I wanted that girl! :) hahaha. Only problem is that I am WAY older than you and my clock is tickin'!

Nice job on keeping up the diet. I HAAAATE diets!!

I know exactly what you mean! I had GD last year when I was pregnant with Reece (here's a link to my article about it - http://healthmad.com/conditions-and-diseases/gestational-diabetes-and-the-food-addict/), and we've just started the diet again and are seeing immediate results. Plus it just makes you feel so much better:) Good job!!!
