We had a lot of fun picking and eating them right off the plant (no pesticides). It was good to see the kids get a little dirty and learn where strawberries come from. Of course Ayden started asking where apples, oranges, and grapes came from.
We ate as many as we could when we got home, then I attempted sugar free strawberry jam for the first time. I made 5 jars worth and it's not that bad. Thanks to my friend Maren for letting me use her camera since I forgot mine and to Janel for lending me the jamming supplies!

I'm drooling! fresh picked, oooh wish we were there. Side pics darling, tomorrow they will be in their teens, time flies on wings of lightning
We only get Cali berries here. Boy do I miss LA berries. How fun for Ayden, I guess you'll have to take him on a trip to Napa Valley so he can see were grapes grow.
Taryn kept saying "Mmmm stwawbewwies" while I read aloud to him! Lol, looks like Ayden was having fun!
