Ayden has been taking piano lessons since January.
We're all excited about this.
So far, he is doing great.
I love being able to pass down my love of music to my children.
Ayden already has a natural gift.
When we sing together, he can hold the melody of songs when I break into harmony.
I'll have to find the video of us singing "The Best Day Ever" by Spongebob. It's great!!
What? Did you think I was teaching him classical music? Come on.
Ian has loved school this year. He has learned so much already. He does more than I remember Ayden doing at this age. I can tell that a lot of his learning comes from listening to our conversations with Ayden. Being a little brother has some perks!
His class celebrated the 100th day in February and he came home with the picture above.
Another younger sibling perk: early interest in using the toilet. This started in January. Almost every time Ian says he has to go, Afton wants to copy him. Well, let me be more specific. She doesn't try to pee standing-I remember trying to pee like my big brother once. It didn't work out so well-she sits on her toilet, and she's such a little lady while doing so, don't you think? I haven't gotten serious with the training, although she has gone a few times and gets so excited about it.

Afton is ready for the potty!! AWESOME!
Ian, that better be one heck of a saints cup! Does it come with encrusted jewels?
Ayden, keep up the good work on the piano! Sponge Bob is a great starting point for singing:) You gotta do what you like or the motivation won't be there. Right?
