Potty Talk/Tell Me Why! I Don't Like Mondays.

We're battling potty talk in our house. I know we're not alone here, right? My boys think it's so funny to talk about butts and poop and toilets. Ahhh... The joys of parenting. This morning Josh starts a knock knock joke for the boys. It went: Knock knock-Who's there-European-European who-European in the toilet. There was another one about poop that I have wiped from my memory. I was the only one not laughing hysterically. Great. Right before school, too. Josh realized the possible repercussions of his joke and told the boys not to repeat it at school. HAH! We'll see how this plays out. A little while later, I took Afton for a walk and she was talking to herself, "Knock Knock. Who's there? I pee-pee toilet." Over and over in her sweet little voice for at least two city blocks. I DID crack a smile for that. I was pushing the stroller behind her, so she didn't know;)

Last night, we finished the whole bedtime routine. Josh and I were about to start a movie, when Ayden walked into the living room. When we asked him why he was out of bed, he replied, "Monday sucks." Oh. My. Gosh. Our little Ayden is learning too much. I guess he wasn't ready for the weekend to end and felt the need to express himself. I have to admit, I busted out laughing because this was a first for him and it threw me off. Josh asked him where he learned that word. His classmate taught it to him. Lovely.

We have potty talk constantly, too. Brad might be the ring leader. The last one I remember, "Guess what? Chicken Butt!" Over, and over, and over again!

When Brad was a kid, it got so bad the school had to call his parents. They had a dog at the time and to punish Brad for saying "poop" too much they made him clean up all the dog poop in the backyard. They said it worked nicely!

Boys! Afton is lucky to have 2 older brothers to teach her while she is learning words. We have the same thing going on with luke atm. He has some pretty good fart jokes.
