This in no way compares to my brother's garden,
but Josh and I are pretty proud of our first vegetable garden.
Our first little squash is growing!
We planted creole tomatoes, zucchini squash, yellow squash, eggplant, red and green bell pepper, parsley, oregano, basil, and spinach. It has been at least six weeks, so we are anticipating more veggies to start sprouting!
My neighbor gave me some morning glories that she grew from seeds of last year's blooms, and I now have these smiling at me through the kitchen window every morning and sometimes all day when it's overcast! I planted these when they were only about three inches tall, and they've already climbed up the fence and back down a little. I'm trying to guide it and one other to take over the fence. I hope it works!

Cutesy baby squash, lovely morning glorys, will make beautiful when covering the fence. Nothin' like fresh from yer own garden.
is that what those purple things are? i thought they were some sort of weed that my neighbor didn't take care of, lol.
very impressive!
Good job on the garden, guys!! Hope you have better luck with the squash than I did...but I think it'll be fine since you have BEES in your neighborhood. Our place is nothing but bulldozed dirt and grass:( But I'm about to give some lesbian zucchini a shot.
You planted some really tasty stuff! I wish we had a yard! Dang it!
You guys are doing it right. Most people try to grow too much too soon and can't keep up with it. take a few of them tomatoes and learn how to can this year, even if you only do 1 jar, build on it year after year, and you will get good quick. It's in your blood.
So CUTE! I can't wait until we have a home of our own and can start gardening! I'll be damned if I'm gonna put all that work into a rental yard, PSHH! Good job!
Squash grow so fast! So excited for your first harvest :) There is something about growing things from a seed that makes me happy. If you want some blue morning glory seeds I've got plenty from mine last year. They are beautiful! Way to grow~
