Spring Break

We took a long weekend camping trip to Gulf Shores, AL/Fort Pickens,FL.
We stayed at the Gulf State Park, which is directly across the street from the beach.
We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.
Ahhhh. The white sandy beaches of the gulf coast. My happy place.
Especially now that the kids are more independent!
Afton loved filling up and pouring water out of her little watering pot.

Ian is our little fishy. He sits in the water and lets the waves wash over him for HOURS.

We met up with some friends, who caught the whole family on camera!

Everybody wanted daddy to take them into the water.
Mom just laid out and dug her toes in the sand. Again:  Ahhhh.

The Tonka truck was a big hit for Ayden. He also spent a few hours digging a massive hole in the sand.
The kid loves shovels. That is a fact.

Afton's friend letting her hear the ocean.

Okay, how cute is this seeing a little sweet girl in a tutu climbing a cannon?!
(Fort Pickens,FL)

 This cracks me up!

On our first day, we watched the sunset.
On our last day, we watched it rise.
Magical.

Our trip to the beach is never complete without gorging ourselves with some home cookin' at "Lambert's Throwed Rolls"! I was miserably full on the ride home, but it was so deliciously worth it.

Ahhhh is right! I got relaxed just reading the blog. White warm sand and the waves, I can hear and feel it. What a great treat for the Hutchinson family.

Oh man...we are insanely jealous that you all got to hang out on the beach. That is something we have been missing our lives too long...the sand, sun, and water. Happy you had a great trip.
