Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep-
I am with you still-I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone-
I am with you still-in each new dawn.
This is a poem from a sympathy card I actually bought for Spencer when his sister, Carlene, died. I never did give it to him, and now I know why. It's been a year since his passing.
We feel your presence in everything, dad. We love you!

I love you too sis! Can't wait to see you guys tonight. It was an emotional day.
I love that poem- I think it's true that you can feel loved ones through the beauty of nature and in moments of quiet solitude. I think being seperated from loved ones is one of the hardest trials we face during our lives here on earth. Thank goodness for the resurrection!
Love ya POPS!!!
Loved the poem and photo. What a guy Spence was, living for his kids. I thingk of Mom when I see beautiful clouds with the rays shining down. Saw this on the way to her funeral and again when I got back home to you kids, there it was again when I walked out of Winn Dixie, brilliant rays from the clouds, gave me piece.
I just love that poem. It reminds me of the song I played in memory of my daddy at my wedding titled "I'm Already There" by Lonestar. Same concept. May his memory live on through you and Josh, and get passed down to your children.
