The eye sore has been cleared out. This "fort" was here when we bought the house. It was fun at first. Ugly, but fun. Ayden is a great climber, so it was fun for a while for him. He only fell once, because he was trying to climb up the ladder with a big dump truck toy in one hand. Nothing traumatic, he fell flat on his back. The wind wasn't even knocked out of him. HOWEVER... Ian is our clumsy little boy. He just barely mastered climbing onto our kitchen chairs. Every time the boys play in the back yard, I become paranoid that he will try to climb up that thing. I also get a little worried when Ayden has friends over, because I don't want any of them to fall from that height. So, I convinced Josh to chop it down. He borrowed a chainsaw from our friend, Jimbo and had some fun playing demolition derby. Our backyard looks SO MUCH BETTER!!! Now we're on a search for a good swingset/slide deally. Our garbage men pick up trash piles on Thursdays, so they better not let us down! We have a heap of wood to be picked up, and I hope it's gone before Ian's big day this Saturday. Let me translate for Ian in the video. He said, "Daddy make house".

You will have to post TONS of pictures of the big b.day bash so I have some ideas to copy for Jackson's bash :-)
Hope it is a great day.
Oh yes, I will document to the best of my abilities!!
What a tragedy. I can't believe you're knocking it down after all the trouble I went through to rid it of stinging catepillars.
Can't wait for the party update.
Mom's are scaredy cats! I remember a certain someone sitting on a branch 30ft up, after climbing a rope when she was 5!!! At least Josh got to have some chain saw fun.
Its sad to see it go, but have to say that door part worried me, just looking for an accident. Can't wait to see what you get for the kids. Go Josh!
Look the trash people picked up our 8 foot vanity top that Markus swore they wouldn't. After that I'm convinced they will pick up anything
Tree house Nazi. Just joking! If I ever have a kid it will be wearing a fully badded football uniform with helmet 24/7, just in case, even if it's a girl.
