Yep, we went twice this week. On Monday the boys got curious and both tried standing in the bottom drawer of their dresser. Ummm, it fell on top of them. Ayden was holding his arm and Ian was holding his head and they were crying and running in circles. They turned out to be fine. I just didn't know how to tell if they had broken bones or brains spilling out so I took them to be on the safe side.
Trip number5 was yesterday, Sunday. Ayden was vomitting and had "the big D" starting Friday night. By Sunday he was so weak he couldn't move or talk.
Robin took Ian to church with her and Brent while I stayed home with Ayden and Afton. He was consistently keeping a temperature of 103, so when Josh got home I took Ayden to the ER. I ran into a friend who's baby had a nasty virus, so we visited in the waiting room, and then our next door neighbor (a nurse there) greeted us and got us started with his treatment. It turns out that he has strep throat. They gave him an IV with fluids and an anti-nausea medicine, then a shot of antibiotics in the leg. There's a scale they use for dehydration. Normal is 18-22. He was at 16. If he would have been 15 he would have been admitted into the hospital. THANK GOODNESS he was well enough and could hold down the popsicle they gave him so we could go home. I need some wood to knock on, but I really hope we don't have to go back any time soon.

Stacy, I think y'all are keeping the ER's in business. They should give y'all a discount card or something.
Oh poor Ayden. I'm glad that you got the problem figured out and he's on the mend now. Hang in there--hopefully the ER visits will be overwith for a while.
I wonder if it's more common to go to the ER when you have boys? :)
Sad! Ayden looks miserable! You were good to go though, I probably would have just assumed it was the flu or something and given Jaci motrin.
Are you kidding me?! I'm with Jamie...you should get a discount card or something. Maybe a punch card. After 5 visits your 6th is free!
Maybe it is a boy thing...:)
NO MORE VISITS, okay?
Those crazy Hutchinson boys! :-0
I'm glad it wasn't too serious like one of Ayden's allergic reactions. Those are SCARY! I hope 'A' is feeling better.
Two thumbs down to the Big "D"
Hi Stacy, I just dropped in to see how y'all are doing. Sorry to hear about Ayden. Hope he's feeling better. Afton looks beautiful!
