Our Little Girl Is 5 Months Old!

She loves to grab her feet.

Getting into the holiday spirit!

Today Afton is 5 months old.
She hasn't had her 4 month check up yet because of her bronchialitis and ear infections, so I don't have any stats available yet. What I do know is that she is super cute! She's getting more control of her hands. She can hold on to toys, and take out her paci. and put it back in. She is communicating more, with various squeals & squawks replacing her cries. She lights up when she hears her brothers talking or when she sees her daddy come home. She is mom's little ball and chain. She won't take a bottle and won't eat from a spoon. It is so true that no 2 babies are alike. She has definitely been the most difficult child of our three. I don't know if that's because we're so busy with three kids, or if she's just higher maintenance. It's a good thing she's so smiley and adorable. It makes up for the difficult times. We love this little baby girl.

I can't believe she's 5 months already. Where does the time go? She's so cute!

She is so adorable, of course! Girls must be higher maintenance than boys. We'll see if that holds true when I have my girl. I'll let you know. :-)

Boys break things. Girls drain your brain with emotions.

Mothers always carry guilt about why their babies do whatever, well let me help you out, I wasn't goona do this---years ago--but I had a weak moment and did anyway. Remember that third child of mine that was colicky (had to watch what I ate) for her first 4 months with too many ear aches and won't take a bottle or pacifer just nursing, wanted only Mommy, didn't like Grandma, cryed when her own Daddy tried to hold her that went on for months too, just Mommy Mommy Mommy!!! Poor Chani and Trav were on the back burner alot, thank goodness they were easy kids to raise. Well one day, I had a weak moment, I just couldn't take it one more second, SO I GAVE YOU THE CURSE!!! "Dear Sweet Ornery Stacy, I hope you have a baby just like you when you are a Mom." There, I got that out, now you know why she is that way, Grammies fault. (I heard that groan you just did when you are aggravated with what I tell you) By the way you got lots lots better with age. Haa haa haa love you to pieces. No two are alike, just think how much you are growing in tolerance and understanding and becoming a super Mom, don't know if patience ever gets better, didn't with me. You were a rough stone but 3 kids later you are getting smooth, real smooth, think how smooth you (and Josh) will be in 15 years!!!
