In case anyone was wondering how my glucose test went...my sugar level was too high, so I have the dreaded 3 hour test coming. I don't want to talk about it. I stayed away from sweets and carbs for two days, and it was still too high. Now I have to suffer through two more days of strict eating AND fast before I go. I HATE NEEDLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugghh! I am so sorry. I hate needles too. I always have to look away or I start to feel like I'm going to faint. They always have to remind me to breathe!
Hopefully you'll pass this time with flying colors like you did with Ian. 'Cause wouldn't you rather an annoying 3 hour test than 3 months of no sugar and measuring out your meals?! Good luck- I'm thinking about you!
Ok, I get to make the annoying comment, which may come back to bite me one day. At least we have the test available and if there is a problem, you can manage it. On the other hand, I feel for you big time as I sit here craving the bag of skittles that's on top of the fridge right now!
Eww. I hated that test with Ainsly; I nearly passed out from it. Just keep being good for a few more days and I'm sure you'll pass it with flying colors! Then you'll be back to eating normal and no more worries.
Good luck my dear sis. hang in there:)
Dont stress. The 3 hour test sucks, but if you have a problem, it will likely be diet controlled. It can be a good thing. Raegan picked up good eating habits with the portion control thing. We all did, really. I doubt you will need to do shots. Dont stress, it will be fine.
Man that is the pits but most of us have gone through it. Good luck and hope everything works out.
i'll come and take the shots for you if need be, don't worry! instead of thinking how much it hurts, think about how much more pain you've already been through, it won't be as bad. ;) you can handle it
Yuck. Well, at least skipping the sugar is good for you. Right? Good luck. I hope this next test has better results.
My poor baby, come ta Mama! Just think in the future it will be but a fletting moment of your live.
Stacy, I had to do the 3 hr test with Peyton, too, and although I despise needles also, I think drinking that nasty crap was FAR worse than the needle!! YUK!
I just realized you meant the fear of needles from the possibility of insulin shots - not getting the blood drawn...?? Chances of you having to do that are pretty slim. Travis is right - they would start with diet to control it first. And since you hate needles, you would DEFINITELY make that option work for you!!
