Our St. Patty's Day

March, 2007-Ian was just one month old. Ayden was 2 1/2.

March, 2009-Look who's in big brother's old shirt now!
Ayden made that leprechaun at school.
He insisted on bringing it to the park, which we did.

While Ayden was away at school, the leprachauns cleaned up his room and left out only the green toys on the train table. They also left some green M&Ms and bubble gum-notice the green drool around Ian's mouth-and a new shirt for Ayden. Thanks for the idea, Lauren!

After our evening walk, I made clover necklaces for the boys.

What a fun St. Patty's Day! I can't believe how much they've changed over the year.

I love that second picture of the boys- best brother friends! And I agree with Dixie- they have changed a LOT in a year! I was reading on other people's blogs about hiding green gifts from the leprechauns somewhere in the house and it sounded like a cute idea so I'll probably do that next year!

We have that same shirt and darn it if I could not find it! It still fits Brennan, even though he wore it last year, so I guess I bought it too big.
Love the green toy idea...might borrow it next year.

"They're red!", "They're tasty", "Did they leave sumpin' else in my room?" "Mommy, I want to see the Leprechan's" That's not fair that the Leprechan's only go to kids rooms. Aiden is going to be a private eye. He's too smart for such trickery. But he'll go along since there's prizes involved. FUNNNYYY!!!!

Oh what a tangled web we weave, Ayden is a wise one, I could see that mind working, what are these young parents getting their kids into these days? The day they find out oh St. Nick was a fib, then what about toothfairy, oggidy boggidy, flat man, leprechaun, easter turkey, marty gras gator, the devil made me do it!!! All those lies you keep adding on, then have to straighten out later. What about God??? Is he real?? Ohhh yeah---- I don't think Ayden will last to the third grade about Santa like Stacy did. No matter what the kids said about this on the playground, Mom and Dad would NEVER lie to Stacy. You sorta caught on at three about the E bunny, somebody was stealing your eggs, and 'Charlie hopper' I won't mention any names. Got his own bigger easter basket the next year, ate it slowly, could make it last til the next easter, locked in the gun cabinet with the glass doors, for months his little children standing there with drowl falling from their frowny mouths, crying to Mom about the unbearable temptation while dad was safely at work. We're lucky they didn't break the glass!!! Such good kids, inspite of their parents. Holiday fibs, hohoho, I'm ramblin'

That was a cool idea. Ian is funny. Ayden is too smart.

Jack makes me show him this video every time I get on the pc. He thinks Ian is so funny saying, "uh, red" after all of the green talk
