Child Abducted From LDS Church

Okay, something I don't usually do. I'm posting a serious message. Please don't assume that just because you're at church, that your children are safe. My best childhood friend was molested in our church's bathroom on a Sunday during Sacrament Meeting. This can happen anywhere, anytime. There are more sickos around than you think. Check out this article, and be aware. http://www.nbc4.com/news/14424638/detail.html

Oh how frightening! It's really true that you can't trust everyone- this is something I wish I didn't know but know all too well. How terrible that you aren't even safe in your own church building. Thanks for the heads up Stacy.

That is really scary. I can't imagine how devastating that is to that little girl and her family. Thanks for reminding us to be more aware and mindful of our kids.

wow. i didn't know about this. i was thinking about the (un)safety level of my new ward's building, though. it is not exactly in the best of locations. i do believe i will be making an announcement sunday that nobody goes to the bathroom (or anywhere) alone.

My mom's ward in Idaho has a rule that the parents have to take their kids to the bathroom. She says that she sees at least 5 or 6 year olds being brought to their moms. She's checking for me to see specifically what age groups require this.

Hearing about that kind of thing just makes you sad and angry and not to mentioned worried for your own babies. As if life threatening allergies isn't enough to worry about. :(
