Happy 2009 Everyone!

Another failed attempt at trying to catch a golden moment.
Nowadays, I can't get any footage of Ian.
If he sees the camera, he wants to look at the pictures on it.
Imagine Ian hanging back like Ayden and you'll envision what I tried to capture.
Playing "dress up" at our house is a little different with no girls.
No princess dresses, tutus, or little plastic high heels.
We had a few friends over for New Year's Eve.
Of course it's not a party until Ayden puts on his cowboy gear topped off with a Kool-aid smile.
Isn't Brooklyn the cutest Buzz you've ever seen? They had so much fun together.
The whole group. Josh made delicious burritos with tortillas made from scratch.
We had lots of munchies, watched LSU finally play a good game, and played "Encore". I have some video of that, but I can't post any videos lately. Bummer.

OOOOO----Can't hardly believe Stac lets Ayden do his cowboy thing after the fit she threw when we first moved west. A REAL teenage cowboy was leaning against a building entrance watching as Dad tried to figure out what to do about the nail in the retreaded old tire on the huge old moving truck we bought for the trip, ('nother story), we had about 2 more hours of driving left. The cowboy dude had a huge decorative belt buckle covering his belly, the tight levis, high healed boots and stetson hat shading his face. She went into a tie raid about how gay (far from that, cowboys are real men, don't let Brokeback Mountain fool ya), and if that is what is available to date out here in the west she would just die and this was after we had driven through a mountain range where there was no reception for the radio, can't live with that either, such a "southern bell", thanks no reception mountains and gay cowboy, just more reason for her to fly back to LA and into the perfect guys lovin' arms, Joshua. That was our plan all along, (not really but sounds good doesn't it), knowing Josh and Stac were the perfect match. (Took 3 long years before the marriage). Oh and the nail in the tire, left it in; we just kept driving and watching it, made it to destination without a flat. Someone watching over us on that eventful trip! Remember pregidous BB on route 66 in Flagstaff, listened to the muppets sing "Born to be Wild" over and over and over while sweating thru New Mexico, 2 more 'nother stories. I'm ramblin' snowing heavy right now, 'nother insider day, need to finish painting, 'nother bambi.

Ha! Mom, of course I was going to find anything and everything to complain about, since I was forced against my will to leave my comfort zone and move to rural Idaho at age 18! I'm not bitter. It molded me into who I am today, and I might not have joined the Young Americans. I remember that guy and his skinny legs and tight Wranglers. The funny thing is that now I would love to live in a house with at least two acres of land.
